Edit Kadi, a longtime resident of Milltown, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, devotion to family, and quiet strength.
Born on May 10, 1932, in Kup, Hungary to Antal and Brigitta Polgardi, Edit's life was defined by perseverance and courage. She later immigrated to the United States and proudly became a naturalized citizen on May 10, 1962--a milestone that reflected both her determination and her deep commitment to her adopted home.
Edit was predeceased by her beloved husband, Denes Kadi, who passed away in December 1999, and by her son, Joseph Kadi, who passed away in September 2023. Despite these profound losses, she remained a steady and loving presence for her family.
She worked for many years as a production line worker at Johnson & Johnson in North Brunswick, where she was known for her strong work ethic and reliability. Beyond her professional life, Edit was deeply devoted to her family, which remained the center of her world.
She is survived by her son, Arpad Kadi, and her beloved daughter-in-law, Tina, of Edison, along with her four cherished grandchildren: Sheena, Joseph, Christian, and Tyler. Her love for them was unwavering, and she took immense pride in watching her family grow.
Edit called Milltown home for more than 50 years, building a life rooted in hard work, family, and community. She will be remembered for her quiet dignity, steadfast strength through life's challenges, and the enduring love she shared with those around her.
